Scott brings more than 20 years of direct private equity and venture capital investing experience working as a private equity principal and investment banker. Most recently, he worked for 9 years as a principal and portfolio manager at an opportunistic middle market investment fund which oversaw over $3 billion of assets. In his role, Scott functioned as a deal professional and an operating executive and developed a deep understanding of how middle market companies operate. Prior to that he co-founded a $325 million equity investment fund to invest in emerging technology companies. He also worked at Trust Company of the West where he evaluated high yield securities for $5 billion of investment funds. He started his career as an investment banker at Citigroup where he developed an extensive knowledge of corporate finance transactions including high yield bonds, bank debt financings, acquisition financing, DIP facilities and the workout process and executed over 15 transactions for $2.7 billion in lead managed high yield and leveraged loans issuance. He holds a Masters in Mathematics from Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
