Dr. Cavoulacos is an international senior energy executive with over 30 years’ experience and a deep understanding of the global energy marketplace. Both as a senior executive and as an advisor to major industrial and energy companies in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, he has led the formulation of global strategies and the implementation of transformation programs to improve performance. Dr. Cavoulacos is a Partner and Managing Director at Global LNG Services AS, a company established to develop, own and operate floating LNG liquefaction vessels with a protected cost advantage based on its patented LIQUI-MAX™ platform.  Prior to GLS, Dr. Cavoulacos was Managing Director-Asia at Schlumberger Business Consulting, Chief Executive Officer of Hellenic Petroleum SA, Chairman of the European Petroleum Industry Association and of CONCAWE, and Partner in Booz Allen Hamilton’s Energy Practice.  He also held senior positions at GE Industrial & Power Systems and at McKinsey & Company. Dr. Cavoulacos holds a B.S. and M.S. in Nuclear Engineering, an M.B.A. from the Sloan School of Management, and a Ph.D. in Energy Economics, all from MIT.
